Achievement Plan A World of Warcraft ledger · Midnight

What's new

What changed and what it means for your plan, newest first. Runs of purely technical releases are grouped into single entries.

1.17.0 - 1.17.1 Fixed

No cookie bar unless your country asks for one

The cookie bar used to greet every visitor on the planet. It now appears only where the law actually requires it, so most of you go straight to your plan. Where it does appear it is now Google's own prompt, which means turning ads down no longer has to mean turning the page down with it.

  • Europe, the UK and Switzerland get Google's standard consent prompt in place of ours
  • Everywhere else the bar is gone, and "Cookie settings" in the footer still turns ad personalization off
  • Whichever you pick is remembered in your browser

This page: releases in player words

The site now keeps its own release notes, written for players instead of programmers. A small banner announces each new release once and links here, so you can see the project is alive without reading commit logs.

  • Every release since launch day, newest first, with what it changed for your plan
  • The banner shows once per release, pauses while you read it, and closes itself after ten seconds
  • Find this page any time under What's new in the header or Releases in the footer
1.15.0 - 1.15.2 New

Big plans are instant now

Typing in the plan filters used to lag on characters with thousands of open achievements. The plan now responds instantly at any size, and pages load faster around the world.

  • Only the rows on screen are rendered, so filtering 5,000+ achievements repaints in milliseconds
  • Site files are cached closer to you, cutting load times on every visit
  • The history chart opens on points now; the toggle still switches back to counts
  • The privacy policy explains the cookie-less page-speed measurement the site uses
1.13.0 - 1.14.0 Maintenance

A quiet rebuild with two perks

The site frontend was rebuilt on modern foundations with no intended visible change. Two things did improve: page addresses are cleaner, with the old ones redirecting, and fonts are served from our own domain, so loading a page no longer talks to Google at all.

1.12.0 - 1.12.2 New

About and Contact pages

Two new pages cover who builds the site, where the data and the estimates come from, how it is funded, and how to reach the developer with bug reports or estimate corrections.

  • A contact email next to the existing Discord, Facebook and X channels
  • The privacy policy now names who is responsible for your data
1.11.0 New

Cookie consent, and invisible characters explained

Nothing from Google loads unless you explicitly accept it: a consent bar now gates the ads, and declining changes nothing about how the site works.

  • Your choice stays in your browser and can be changed any time via Cookie settings in the footer
  • Character not found? The error dialog now explains Blizzard's Community Sites and Apps privacy setting, the usual culprit, and a new FAQ entry covers it too
1.5.0 - 1.10.0 Maintenance

A day under the hood

No visible changes, just sturdier foundations: automated checks now guard every change, a safety net catches estimate drift, and plans recompute themselves after each game patch instead of going stale.

1.4.0 Fixed

Ton of Tops priced honestly

A user report: the shirt-collecting achievement was listed as a quick win when one of its patterns is an ultra-rare world drop selling for millions of gold. It and the other recipe collections now count the recipe hunt, not the cheap crafting at the end.

  • Recipe collections (Philosopher's Stones, Engineering goggles, drums) are priced as recipe hunts
  • Plain craft counters like Quite the Quilt stay cheap, as they should
  • A copy pass cleaned up the writing quirks readers flagged across the site
1.3.0 Fixed

Achievements you never started now show up

Blizzard's armory only reports achievements you have progress on, so anything untouched was missing from the plan entirely. The plan now lists every obtainable achievement, including the ones at zero progress, and follows your character's faction for the locked ones.

  • PvP pet battle wins are priced per win: Legendary Pet Brawler is a 750 hour project, not a 3 hour session
  • Mount and pet filters no longer catch look-alikes such as mount-speed perks or pet slots
  • Decor Duel achievements moved under the season deadline, where they belong
1.2.0 Fixed

Honest time estimates

The most reported launch bug. Multi-step, reputation and luck-based achievements now count what you still need instead of scaling a flat total, and pure luck drops are flagged instead of promised as quick wins.

  • Renown, garrison and dig counters priced per remaining step, weekly resets included
  • Achievements that hinge on rare drops carry an RNG marker and never appear under Quick wins
1.1.0 - 1.1.2 New

The ledger look

Launch feedback said the site looked like a generic dashboard template, so it got a real identity: warm parchment and brass built on WoW's own tooltip language, with item-rarity colors doing real work in the plan.

  • Tier tabs carry rarity diamonds and every plan row a rarity-colored edge
  • Discord, Patreon and Facebook links for reports, support and announcements
  • Releases no longer leave you on a broken half-updated page
1.0.0 - 1.0.2 New

Launch day

WoW Achievement Plan went live and met r/wow: enter any character and get every uncompleted achievement ranked by estimated time to complete, quick wins first, grinds parked at the back.

  • Plans live at shareable addresses, with no login and no addon
  • An achievement history chart shows your play and break periods across expansions
  • Tier thresholds, category multipliers and per-achievement overrides, stored only in your browser
  • Day-one fixes: realm lists filtered by region, accented realm names, and more memory after launch traffic
