- Who runs this site
- wow-achievement-plan.com is run by the site's operator, its sole developer, who
is the data controller for any personal data described below. Contact:
[email protected]
(more options on the contact page).
- Accounts and personal data
- There are no accounts and no login. The site never asks for, or stores, your name, e-mail address
or Battle.net credentials.
- Character data
- When you look up a character, the server fetches its public profile from the official Blizzard
Battle.net API and caches the result so repeat visits are fast. This is the same public data anyone
can see on the armory. Use the ↻ Refresh button to update it. Blizzard's own privacy switch controls
this exposure: turn off "Community Sites and Apps" in
Battle.net Account
Settings (Privacy and Communication) and the Blizzard API stops sharing your characters with
third-party sites, including this one.
- Settings
- Scoring settings (tier thresholds, category multipliers, per-achievement overrides, theme) and
your cookie consent choice are stored only in your browser's localStorage. They never leave your
device.
- Cookies and analytics
- The site's own code sets no tracking cookies. It measures real-world performance with
Cloudflare
Web Analytics, a cookie-less tool: a small script collects aggregated page-load metrics
(such as Core Web Vitals) in your browser and sends them to Cloudflare. It sets no cookies,
stores nothing on your device and does not track you across sites. Traffic is served through
Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses to provide DDoS protection and caching, and standard
web-server logs are kept briefly for operations and abuse prevention. Advertising cookies are
covered below.
- Advertising
- The site can show ads served by Google AdSense to cover server and development costs.
Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to choose ads and measure how they
perform. What loads depends on where you are. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland no Google script
loads and no advertising cookie is set until you accept in the cookie bar, and declining keeps it
that way. Everywhere else ads load by default; "Cookie settings" in the footer lets you refuse
personalization at any time, after which ads are picked from the page you are reading rather than
from a profile of you. Either way your choice is stored in your browser and takes effect on the
next page load. The site also advertises itself through Google Ads, whose measurement tag
reports how many visits an ad brought in. It loads under exactly the same rules as the ads above:
nothing until you accept where consent is required, and where it is not, a decline limits it to
counting the visit rather than building a profile. Details are in
Google's
advertising policy, and you can tune personalization at
adssettings.google.com.
